Description of Sweepstakes Offer

The 2008 15,000th Book Renter Contest ("15,000th Renter Contest") is sponsored by BookRenter.com ("Sponsor"), 1190 S.Bascom Ave suite 245, San Jose, CA 95128. Sponsor will award one (1) prize to one (1) winner, the first customer to order a rental after BookRenter.com receives its 15,000th registered customer. The customer must be currently enrolled in a high school or college and use valid payment for his/her order.

Promotion Period

The Sweepstakes promotion begins July 13, 2008, at 12:00:00 am Pacific Time ("PST") and ends whenever a winner is chosen (the "Promotion Period").

How to Enter

Any customer who orders a book rental for a 30, 45, 60, 90, or 125 days is automatically entered into the Sweepstakes. By ordering a rental, you are agreeing to be notified by e-mail if you are the winner of the Sweepstakes. Each order placed by a customer is eligible to win (1) entry per person or e-mail address is permitted per day regardless of method of entry unless otherwise noted by Sponsor. Canceled or refunded entries will be voided. In the unlikely event the Sponsor encounters technical or equipment failures such as computer online systems failing, servers and/or provider services go down, or human error in connection with the sweepstakes, etc., the Sponsor will not be held responsible. Collection and handling of personally identifiable information will be in accordance to the Privacy Policy as posted on http://www.bookrenter.com/privacy_policy.

Eligibility

The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States (including the District of Columbia) who are currently enrolled in a high school, college, or university. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. To be eligible to win, entries must be received by Sponsor in the format designated in step 3 above. Employees of Sponsor, its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers or their immediate families are not eligible. The total number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period determines the odds of winning.

Description of Prize

One (1) Prize will be awarded to a qualified winner. The winner can choose from a 3G iphone or $200 cash. The winner will also receive a free year of rentals, which is equal to $500 in credit to BookRenter.com. The winner's school will receive a $1,000 donation to their scholarship fund to alleviate the high cost of textbooks for students.

Drawing and Awarding of Sweepstakes Prize

Winner will be notified by e-mail or phone within ten (10) days of winning. Except where prohibited, potential winner must execute and return to Sponsor, within ten (10) days of being notified, an affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and Publicity Release in order to claim his/her prize. Failure to comply with these Official Rules or failure to execute and return the required documents within 10 days of being notified will result in awarding the prize to an alternate winner. Upon alternate winner's failure to comply with these Official Rules, failure to execute and return the required documents within 10 days of being notified, the alternate winner forfeits the prize and no additional alternate winner shall be chosen. All taxes are the responsibility of the winner. Entry constitutes permission to post winner's name on the Sponsor's website and the use of the winner's name, hometown and school for purposes of advertising without further compensation unless prohibited by law. By accepting the prize, winner agrees that Sponsor, its affiliates, distributors, advertising and promotional agencies and suppliers and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents shall have no liability for, and shall hold all such parties harmless against damage, loss or injury that may arise in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of prizes or participation in this Sweepstakes. Offer void where prohibited.

Miscellaneous

The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable laws in the United States. Void where prohibited and in any country except the United States. Sponsor may prohibit entrants from participating in the Sweepstakes and disqualify entries if they attempt to enter the Sweepstakes through means not described in the rules, attempt to disrupt the Sweepstakes or circumvent the rules, act in an un-sportsmanlike manner or with intent to annoy or harass any other entrant or sponsor(s). Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or suspend the Sweepstakes should virus, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, or other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor or Promoters, corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper operation of the Sweepstakes. All decisions are final. Sponsor makes no warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the use of the Sweepstakes prize including, but not limited to, quality, merchantability or fitness for a particular prize.

Entrants agree that any and all claims, disputes and causes of action arising out of or related to the Sweepstakes shall be resolved, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively by the appropriate courts in Santa Clara County, California in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without giving effect to conflict of law rules which would cause the application of the laws of any other jurisdiction.
